Mangere East Parish
I trust that you are all well so far. Fr Rivan and myself are doing well and still isolating ourselves in the house.
As you might have received my previous email last Saturday notifying you about a Covid case in our St Therese church. Please see the letter attached in this email sent from Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS), confirming the case and urging everyone who attended the 6pm mass on Sunday 15 August to follow the protocols suggested in the letter. Please take the letter with you and show it at the testing site [Contact Teresa Ah Wa Parish Secretary, if you require a hard copy of the letter.] On the safe side, those who attended the 8am and 10am masses on the same Sunday might like to go for a test if you feel like doing so.
Following are the testing locations near us: Click Here
Letter from Auckland Health: Click Here
Please give the testing centre this code - SURV TM18CH3 when you get tested.
My dear friends, please be assured that Fr Rivan and myself always keep you in our prayers. We continue to pray for those affected, for those already isolated, lonely and scared, specially the person and the family of our parish affected this time. May God give them strength and help them let go of fears and live in peace and hope.
Please do not hesitate to contact Fr Rivan and myself for pastoral needs.

Moana Research has been invited to seek insights again about the governments communications and response this outbreak. We are working with our research partners (FEM Research Ltd, MNSV Health & Wellness Consultants and Asian Family Health) to engage Youth, Māori, Pacific, Asian and South Asian families and communities for deep-dive interviews to reflect non-dominant voices in Aotearoa.
In addition to our qualitative approach, we are also putting out an online survey that is open to all New Zealanders. Please share with your networks and communities if you can. Link below including Facebook link and flyer attached.
COVID-19 Vacination Day
Held at the Countdown Support Office. 80 Favona Rd, Mangere.
We are holding another COVID-19 vaccination day at our office at 80 Favona Road again tomorrow (Friday 3 September) from 11am - 3pm, so would love to extend the invite to your community again if anyone missed out or couldn't make it last time.
I had a lovely member of your community reach out who is already going to bring her son along tomorrow now that they've had the all clear - so the more the merrier, there's lots of slots available.
Talofa Lava, Fakalofa Lahi atu, Kia Ora, Malo E Lelei, Kia Orana, Welcome All
